(Drama!) Regis Philbin Fires Agent After Rumors Of A Paycut Caused Him To Quit

Regis fired his agent Jim Griffin.  The news came after TMZ reported that Regis quit because, execs told his agent that Regis would have to take a pay cut in a new contract.  According to sources, the show is still successful, although the ratings are on the decline, and the median age of viewers is 60.  Regis has been knocking down about 18-20 million per year.  Another note of interest, It's being reported that Regis told Kelly Ripa about his decision to leave, 15 minutes before airtime.  Makes ya wonder If Regis is really a nice guy after all, doesn't it?
