Detroit Dads Create System to Thwart School Shooters
Four years after a gunman claimed the life of 20 children and six adults, three Detroit-area dads have developed a system to help keep children safe if an intruder threatens their safety at school.
Ben Powers, Pete Racite, and Jeff Thompsoon developed the system which includes a bullet-proof vest equipped with implements to fight off a gunman. School personnel would be required to go through a training program in order to access the equipment.
