CMU Student Accused of Trying to Poison Her Roommate

A Central Michigan University student was arrested after she tried to poison her roommate.

Police in Mt. Pleasant say 19-year-old Kayla Ashlyn Bonkowski put bleach in her roommate's iced tea glass, and she was arrested when the roommate called police.

The girl was scheduled for arraignment on Monday, but it will be delayed until this Monday, December 10th. She is currently out on bond, but because she is charged with felony poising of food, drink, or medicine, she cannot waive arraignment.
