Christmas Themed Bars are Popping Up in Metro Detroit
The holiday season is the perfect time to head just south to the Detroit area for some fun. Whether it's skating the Frankemuth Rink at Campus Martius, checking out the Big Bright Light Show in downtown Rochester, or even catching a Christmas show at Fox Theatre, there's always plenty to do to get your holiday on.
Back again this year will be the Christmas-holiday themed bars popping up in Metro Detroit. From themed nights to festive drinks, these watering holes will add some adult holiday magic to the season. Here are some of the festive bars heading to the area.
Miracle
Part of the nationwide Christmas cocktail pop-up Miracle, this the pop-up will head to The Oakland in Ferndale this year. Miracle changes locations each year in metro Detroit. Look for holiday decor and themed-drinks like the Christmapolitan (vodka, elderflower, dry vermouth, spiced cranberry sauce, rosemary, lime, and absinthe mist) and the Run Run Rudolph (prosecco, gin, mulled wine puree, lemon, and cane syrup). Opens on Friday, November 22 at 201 W Nine Mile Rd., Ferndale.
Jingle
Royal Oak's Ale Mary's Beer Hall will transform again this year into Jingle. The seasonal bar returns again in November with a special 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' theme with a new menu of cocktails. The restaurant will also be serving up vegan and non-vegan Grinch cookies. Opens Friday, November 29 at 316 S Main St., Royal Oak.
Sippin’ Santa
Enjoying their second year of festive transformation, The Skip in downtown Detroit is serving up tropical-themed drinks and decor as part of being a spinoff of Miracle. Expect tiki-style Christmas cocktails such as the Jingle Bowl shareable rum punch served in hot tub-style bowl filled with Santa and his reindeer. Located in The Belt area in Detroit it's the perfect place to warm up when you're enjoying Christmas in the city. Opens on Friday, November 22 at 1234 Library St., Detroit.
