Casey Anthony Declared ‘Competent’ – Will She Take The Stand?

It appears that the defense team in the Casey Anthony trial is having some challenges with the defendant. Insiders suspect that Casey may be pressuring her defense team to let her take the stand in her own defense.  Over the weekend the court ordered Casey to meet with psychiatrists and psychologists in order to determine if she understood the events that were happening around her. Having been deemed competent to continue, in the end the decision to take the witness stand is hers to make.

Casey is charged with the murder of her two year old daughter, Caylee. With the defense winding down its witness list, all the attention turns to Casey. These next few days should tell the story because if she does not testify the defense is expected to rest their case by Friday. If she does testify it will be a long ordeal in cross examination that could add another week to the trial.
