Call to Michigan Police About ‘Injured Dog’ Was Actually an Arctic Fox

What does the fox say? I'M NOT A DOG!

The South Lyon Police Department got an interesting call yesterday - somebody had spotted (what they thought was) an "injured dog" near the high school.
People who were driving by stated that they also thought the animal was a cat. Turns out, they were ALL wrong - it was an Arctic Fox.

Police took the injured fox to the Howell Nature Center for a checkup and were able to locate the owner. The fox was somebody's pet and the owners were located; most people who have foxes as pets have rescued them from fur farms.

Her name is Khadi and she's being reunited with her fur family today.
