Byron: Six Students in the Byron School District Suspended for Firearms

Six students in the Byron school district were suspended Tuesday, after firearms were found in their vehicles. This discovery happened on the second day of the firearm deer season, but school officials apparently have chosen not to exercise discretion when it comes to enforcing school policy. A sign on Byron High School's property states that its campus is a drug-free, gun-free school zone.
