The Ontario Hockey League has suspended Firebirds owner Rolf Nilsen from hockey operations for five years and fined him $250,000. The Firebirds also must forfeit a first round draft pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.

Director of Hockey Operations Joe Birch will remain in his position with the Firebirds. The positions of General Manager, Head Coach and additional staff will be announced.
