Bob Saget, Star of TV’s “Full House” and Comedian, Passes Away at 65
Bob Saget, comedian, and TV actor best known for playing everyone's favorite dad Danny Tanner on Full House, has died at the age of just 65, according to TMZ.
According to reports coming in early Sunday evening from TMZ, the actor passes away Sunday at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando, Florida. Reports say he was found dead in his hotel room.
"The Sheriff's Department and the fire department responded to the hotel around 4 PM ET ... after hotel security had found Bob in his room. We're told he was pronounced dead on the scene, but the circumstances of his death are still unclear", TMZ reports.
A stand-up comedian, Saget became a household name playing Danny Tanner, the single father to three girls on the hit show Full House. The show aired on ABC from 1987-1995 with a sequel series, Fuller House, that premiered on Netflix in 2016 and ran for five seasons in which Saget had a recurring role.
Saget went on to host the popular American's Funniest Videos and tour the country with his stand-up act. At the time of his death, he was touring across the country and had just performed on Saturday night in Jacksonville. He tweeted about his show at the Point Verda Concert Hall just Sunday morning.
