Back to the Bricks Hosting ‘Idol’ Contest for Anthem Singer
Do you have what it takes? Whether you do a little karaoke, sing in the Sunday choir, or even sing in the shower, Back to the Bricks wants to hear it.
Back to the Bricks has announced their first Idol contest. They are looking for that perfect person/duo or group to sing the National Anthem for some of their upcoming spring/summer events.
The contest will be open to all singers between the ages of 14 and 25 years old. If a contestant is between 14 and 17 years old, their submission must come with a parent or guardian's permission.
You will need to submit a 45 second video to Back to the Bricks® by Friday April 16th, singing the National Anthem or any other song to show off your talent. You'll need to uploaded your video to YouTube, and then share the link via email to the Executive Director at ambertaylor@backtothebricks.org.
Amber Taylor, Executive Director of Back to the Bricks thought the idea would be a great way to engage the community the the BTTB activities.
"It was just an idea that came to me to include more youth in our community! We have so much local talent, and I want to see it highlighted at more events. Our car enthusiasts will love seeing the younger singers, plus we want to encourage more youth to attend our events, so let’s make it fun and have a contest", Taylor said.
A panel of judges will narrow it down to the top 3 contestants, and the official winner will be selected to sing at the upcoming Dust ‘em Off event on Sunday May 23rd, along with other events to follow for the top 3 singers.
For more information on how to show off you singing talent, visit the Back to the Bricks Facebook page, or contact Amber Taylor at ambertaylor@backtothebricks.org.
