It happens every year at a Grand Rapids elementary school and it's the cutest thing you've ever seen.

Believe it or not, it's been over a decade since this tradition started at Ken-O-Sha (pronounced Ken O'Shay) Elementary in Grand Rapids, and this year was no different.

A mother duck raises her baby ducklings in the safety of the courtyard of the school. Every spring, when she's ready, she pecks on the door (I'm just dying over that part) and lets the staff know that she's ready to bring her ducklings into the real world.

The staff then arranges for the mom and her babies to strut through the school and outside and, in the process, teaching the kids at the school some valuable lessons.
