AMBER ALERT: 2-Year-Old Lansing Boy is Missing

In case you wondered what came through your phone to wake you up this morning.

Michiganders were startled by an Amber Alert this morning about 2-year-old Phoenix Washington, Jr. The boy was taken by Phoenix Washington, his father. The suspect and his son are in a stolen 2011 black Mazda four-door with a Michigan license plate number EFM 6569.

The younger Phoenix is described as being approximately 2-foot-3 and 30 pounds. He went missing from a home located at 3209 W. Michigan Avenue in Lansing.

His father is a 26-year-old Black man and approximately 5-feet-5 and 160 pounds.

Any sightings of the man and his son should be reported to Sgt. Brad Braeutigam at (517) 730-5855.
