All Michigan K-12 Schools are Closed Through April 5th Starting Monday
According to Governor Whitmer, it's meant to slow the spread of the virus.
All schools, public and private in the state of Michigan from kindergarten to 12th grade, are closed starting Monday, March 16th through April 6th. Schools are allowed to have classes today but many got a head start on the closings.
If your child relies on school meals throughout the day, please visit Catholic Charities or the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan for assistance. And honestly, if you ask a neighbor for some help during this time, I have a feeling they'll spot you a meal or two.
The Governor says that meals for students will continue, but those details are still being worked out.
