As many of us prepare for the holidays, air travel may be in your future. Unfortunately, jet lag may be in your future as well. But Boeing's new 787 aircraft not only reduces the jet lag and dry skin often associated with flying, its plastic body is said to be safer than its steel siblings.

United has already begun flying the new 787 Dreamliner, so the future of aviation is actually here now.
