When Anderson Cooper began his daytime talk show there were high hopes that a daytime show without high drama, angry hosts, battling boyfriends, and trans-gender surprises. The end came quickly for "Anderson Live", a daytime talk show that offered an intelligent, calm discussion. We quickly discovered that there is no place for that on daytime TV.

It is apparently out of the question that "Anderson Live" will not be renewed for a third season. It will disappear from the airwaves at the end of summer next year.

In TV everything is about ratings and Anderson Cooper's show wasn't drawing them in. Thus, the quick pull of the plug from the Warner Brothers executives.
So, in the end TV has more Jerry Springer and less Anderson Cooper. Kind of scary, isn't it?
