54 Cats Rescued from Detroit Hoarder’s Home [VIDEO]

The rescue, which we visited last year, is now looking for donations to help with vet bills. 

Last November, we visited the Catfe in Ferndale. Yes, you can sit around and sip coffee with cats. In case you missed it:

Now, that rescue associated with the Catfe is looking for help - the Ferndale Cat Shelter has taken in the cats. The hoarder reportedly adopted the cats from high-kill shelters for obvious reasons; unfortunately, she got in "over her head."

Due to the conditions in the home, the cats were not in good shape when they were rescued. The vet bills are starting to exceed $10,000, so the shelter is asking for help.
