And it was all started by 32-year-old Chia Morgan.

Chia woke up one morning 10 years ago and decided that she needed to get food to those who needed it the most, so she decided to start the Blessed to be a Blessing free Thanksgiving dinner here in Flint.

My favorite part is that she said that she doesn't want it to feel like a handout to people; she wants it to feel like family.

It's always held two days before Thanksgiving and is sponsored by Well of Hope, local businesses, Pentecostal Temple Apostolic Church of Flint and Catholic Charities.

What started out as an event for 100 people has grown to over 600 with a DJ, dancing and celebrity servers.
