I spent time training in San Antonio, Texas when I was in the Air Force, but I never saw a fireball in the sky like the one that was reported earlier this month. It reportedly shot right across the mid-day sky.
Living here in Michigan does have its advantages. We do get tornadoes here but not as big or as often as places like Texas and Oklahoma. I lived in Dallas ,Texas for a few years and when it was tornado season you knew it.
The Dallas/Fort Worth area was hit Tuesday leaving most counties in the northern part of the state under a tornado watch.

The skies over Lubbock, Texas turned red earlier this week as a huge dust cloud overtook the city. It was a beautiful day with clear, blue skies as the ominous cloud approached.
As it got closer and closer traveling at 70 miles per hour, the cloud appeared almost apocalyptic as it consumed the city. Check out two different eye-witness videos after the jump.
Let's set this up, it was a flag football game where the average age of the player is six or seven-years-old. Some Frisco, Texas Football League parents say a coach's passionate pre-game pep talk to his grade school players went too far.

Here in Michigan we really can't relate to a bad drought. It's been a dry several weeks here, but in Texas it has been a dry several months. So severe that locals have begun to recycle sewage water. Make mine bottled please.
