Mid-Michigan Welfare Applicants Will Be Drug Tested Under Proposed Bill [VIDEO]

I thought the state already did this? Another idea to drastically change the state's welfare system is making its way through the legislature in Lansing. It's an idea that has civil liberties advocates fired up. However, taxpayers like the idea behind House bill 4118. It would require welfare recipients to pass a drug test before receiving their cash benefits. . The bill is a a suspicion based program. If a Department of Human Services screener has reasonable suspicion a client has been using illegal drugs, that client would have to take and pass a test. Are you for the bill?
