We thought this was a headline from "The Onion." It's not.

A woman who had an "emotional support peacock" with her was denied boarding onto her United flight out of Newark, New Jersey this weekend.

United Airlines says that they informed the passenger of this three times before she arrived at the airport and that the peacock was too big for a support animal.

The airline has already had to amend their policies for support animals, saying that people have tried to travel with everything from possums to spiders.

Starting on March 1st, passengers will have to submit the correct paperwork for their service animals two full days before their flight.
