Woman Injured in Car vs. Train Accident in Flint [VIDEO]

A woman was taken to a local hospital after colliding with a train this morning (2/16) in Flint.

The accident happened just before 9 am at the railroad crossing on Richfield Rd. just east of Dort Highway. Mid-Michigan Now reports that the driver of the car tried to beat the train by going around the crossing gate. Investigators believe the railroad crossing arms and signal lights were all functioning properly.

The woman survived the collision but her condition is unknown at this time.
