Wisconsin Mom Has Great Idea for Celebrating Birthdays During Quarantine

It's a great way to celebrate without getting too close to people!

Full disclosure: yes, I'm biased. This is Laura, and she's been one of my best friends for more than 15 years. We met when we worked at a radio station together in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and she's been one of my rocks ever since.

Her second (and final) child, Nicholas, turned one over the weekend. Obviously, birthdays right now can't necessarily be big, joyous occasions - his grandparents visited through a glass door with gloves on, and nobody could come over to share the cake and festivities.

What Laura DID do, though, was have a yard sign made. She shared it to her local Facebook pages and, low and behold, the community came together to wish Nicholas a happy 1st birthday.
