It was the first blast of winter in West Michigan, and it packed a wallop.

Although snow accumulation was not significant, icy roads caught motorists by surprise resulting in a 32-car pileup along I-94 near Paw Paw Thursday (12/7) morning.

The chain reaction began as officers were trying to help a motorist who slid into a ditch around 9:15 am. Only a few injuries were reported.

But wait, there's more.

In the second video below, WOOD-TV says the next batch of winter weather will hit West Michigan Friday night and early Saturday morning.
