Will Ferrell Does Newscast as Ron Burgundy to Promote 'Anchorman 2' [VIDEO]

Stay classy, North Dakota! Anchorman star Will Ferrell hosted an entire newscast on Bismarck CBS affiliate KXMD in character as Ron Burgundy this weekend. The stunt was arranged to promote the Anchorman sequel, 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' which opens on December 18th.

Burgundy reported on trash fires, a local teacher that hasn't shaved in a month, and a police dummy perched in a squad car to warn speeding motorists to slow down. Co-anchor Amber Schatz played along nicely.

Paramount Pictures has taken a rather unconventional approach to creating buzz about the latest movie in the Anchorman franchise, forming a partnership with Dodge in which Ferrell pitches for the automaker in character as Burgundy. Dodge reports a significant sales increase since the alliance.
