The Reeves family has a reputation for making Halloween special in their neighborhood. This year, the family from Livonia is paying tribute to the 1984 movie 'Ghostbusters' with an awesome Halloween display.

But Natalie and Tim Reeves don't just put on a Halloween light show. Their display is interactive, meaning you can come and hang out and maybe even grab a few pictures with the kids.

The Reeves Family has been putting up elaborate Halloween displays for the last few years and this year they decided to change it up.

"We started off with the Beetlejuice and we did two years of the Beetlejuice. And we don't like to kind of stay with the theme too long, because it gets old. So we decided to move the Ghostbusters," Time Reeves tells WXYZ.

Natalie says the family was especially interested in creating a display that is special because the coronavirus pandemic made things so difficult for people to enjoy the holiday last year.

"Especially with last year being as crummy as it was and not really being able to get out and do much, we thought we could do it pretty safely since it was outdoors," she tells the TV station. "And we like to have scenes that people can kind of be in and take pictures in and kind of sit down on the couch and ... be in that scene from the movie because people find it fun."

The Reeves family says anyone is welcome to come by and enjoy the display at 14052 Hix St. in Livonia. This Thursday, a visit from the Ghostbusters Detroit team is planned.
