Up North Michigan Winery Offering ‘Workcation’ Packages
The hotel was voted Best Wine Country Hotel by USA Today Reader’s Choice Awards 2020.
It's been a weird year, and a lot of us have learned how to work remotely from home.
That's why Black Star Farms in Suttons Bay in northern Michigan has started offering special package deals for people who want to continue to work remotely, but not from home.
All you have to do is use the code WORK when you're booking and you'll have amenities like a complimentary gift bag with a wireless phone charger and snack mix to "keep you charged through the day," off-season rates, free WiFi, gourmet breakfast every morning of your stay and outdoor trails for "when you need a break."
And, according to the website, every reservation includes a bottle of the house wine and discounts on their tasting flights.
Soooo...does this mean we can take our radio show on the road up north? We have the remote setup; all we need to get on the air is WiFi. Can we drink wine while we're working? If so, we're there.
Seriously though, this is a great idea. People always complain that they can't get time off work for a getaway; why not tell them that they can work while they getaway, too?
Kudos to Black Star Farms and The Inn at Black Star Farms for adapting to this weird year!
