Two Michigan Universities Rank Among Top 100 in the US
US News and World's annual report on the best colleges and universities in the nation is out, and it's good news for two schools in Michigan.

The University of Michigan and Michigan State University both received high marks from the publication, which honors the top 100 schools in the country.
University of Michigan Ann Arbor
The University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) took the top spot in the state, coming in at #21 nationally. That moves U of M up four notches from last year's 25th place.
Poring through the numbers, U of M also claimed the following honors:
- 3rd Best Public School
- 5th Best Undergraduate Engineering Program
- 4th Best Undergraduate Business Programs
- 1st Best Undergraduate Business Management Program
- 1st Best Undergraduate Business Marketing Program
Michigan State University
MSU significantly gained in rank, moving up 17 spots from #77 to #60 in the publications's annual ranking.
US News and World Report publishes the rankings each year based on a number of factors. This year, the methodology included metrics including first-generation graduation rates, first-generation graduation rate performance, and the proportion of college graduates earning more than a high school graduate.
