Detroit police are asking for help looking for two children who have been missing since they visited their father on Tuesday. The man says he dropped Zamar and Maria Cox off at their mother's home, but she says they never arrived home.

Detroit police tell WDIV they believe another family member may have somehow intervened, taking the children without the parents' knowledge. No amber alert has been issued.

Three-year-old Zamar Cox is a light-skinned black male. He's four feet tall, weighs 45 pounds, and was wearing gray jogging pants and a red sweatshirt. His sister, one-year-old Maria Cox is a black female, and was last seen wearing a one-piece pink outfit. If you have information about the children, call 313-596-1616 or 313-596-1201.
