Thousands of people in the Metro Detroit area were left without power as high winds toppled trees and knocked down power lines. Video below from WDIV shows houses that sustained damage due to falling trees. One home in Grosse Pointe Woods was even knocked off its foundation.

The second video below was shared with Mid-Michigan Now by a viewer. It shows extensive damage that was done by the storms in the Bay City area.

As of this morning, thousands of Michigan residents are still without power, many of those are northwest of Chesaning and in the Lansing area.
