Ladies Home Journal shows the blatant sexism that our mothers & grandmothers were up against.
The magazine, which is still around today, used to feature an article called "Can This Marriage Be Saved?" It featured three parts: the woman's opinion, the man's opinion, and then a professional opinion.
Most of the articles centered around the idea that it's the woman's fault if a husband is caught cheating, or beating her. And a man has an excuse to cheat if his wife's personality is "unattractive." The sexism of these articles will astound you!
