(They Did What I Wouldn’t Have) Michigan Couple Rescues Opossum From Drowning [VIDEO]

From the YouTube comments section, and I'm cleaning up the language a bit:  I would have let him drown.

That's probably what I would have done too. And by 'probably' I mean 'definitely.'

A Michigan couple, however, did the right thing and rescued an opossum that was struggling to survive and pulled him to the safety of their boat.

Char Morse and her hubby pulled the creature to safety using a flotation device from their boat. He was struggling to survive in the channel between White Lake and Lake Michigan last week.

He took off as soon as they reached dry land according to WXYZ.

These people are better than me -- not just because they can afford a boat.
