If you know me then you know, I am a girly girl. Aside from loving sports, I am 100% a typical girl. When it comes to the cars I choose to drive, I usually stick to a smaller SUV because I have always felt anything bigger wouldn't win me over. I was wrong.

Thanks to the Shea Automotive Group, I had the chance to test drive a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500.  Yes, I got behind the wheel of a pick-up truck, but not just any pick-up truck, THE pick-up truck of 2020. I was driving a GMC Sierra 1500, Crew Cab Short Box 4-Wheel Drive Denali...and I loved it!

This vehicle was pure luxury!  From the leather seats, to the touch screen controls, to the sunroof, this truck had it all. I was amazed how smooth the ride was and the gas mileage was something I never though I would see on a full size truck.

Safety features are one of my selling points whenever I'm shopping for a new vehicle. Not only did the GMC Sierra 1500 have rearview and surrounding cameras for parking and backing up, but the warning system that let me know I had left something in the back seat  (my luggage) was incredible. This is a key feature GMC added to assure tragedies with small children being forgotten in hot cars never happens again.

Now I am not a tall person, and the vehicle does sit up higher than a car or smaller SUV does, but getting in and out was a breeze. The automatic power step running boards made getting in and out the vehicle so easy... even in a dress!  I felt safe and secure driving the Sierra and never felt that the truck overpowered me or that it was too much to handle.

To say I am hooked on the truck is an understatement. And let me tell you, more than one person commented on the sleek design and incredible style. Looks like this girl may end up being a truck girl after all.
