The young men have been friends since they were kids in the Boy Scouts.

Haslet, Texas resident Cameron James is 17-years-old and met his friend Kevin Christian when they in the scouts. Christian was a PFC in the Army and passed away in June while stationed at the Arizona-Mexico border. The medical examiner ruled his death a suicide, further proving the serious need for more mental healthcare for our military members and veterans.

Cameron wanted to do something to honor his friend, so he mowed an American flag on his family's lawn.

He says that their mower has different settings so he changed them to mow the stripes, and he used a weed eater for the stars. His brother helped him, and it took them about 4 hours in the Texas heat to finish.

He says that Christian was a role model to him, and that this was how he wanted to honor that.
