Updating a story published earlier, twelve Michigan Post Office branches will be on the chopping block, according to Click on Detroit. Although no Flint-area branches are slated for closure at this time, the downtown Flint Post Office is on the list of 3,653 branches nationwide that are being studied. 62 in Michigan are being considered. Postal officials say they have no choice, as the popularity of electronic bill payment and communication has sharply cut into revenue. Most of the locations on the yet-to-be-released list are in rural areas.

This caught my eye because my dad was a mailman for about 100 years.  Luckily, he never did anything like this! What's funny about this video isn't just the fact that the mailman gets run over by his own mail truck after exiting the vehicle and leaving it in reverse.

A lot of people are complaining and whining about gas prices and rightfully so.  A partial solution is probably hanging in their garage or basement and hasn't had the dust blown of it in quite some time!  As soon as the weather gets tolerable, I park my truck as much as possible and ride my bike or walk to places within a few miles.
