Soldier Returns Home to Surprise Family at Flushing Restaurant [VIDEO]

It was no ordinary breakfast Saturday morning at Liberty Family Dining in Flushing Saturday. A local soldier returned home a bit early, and took his kids completely by surprise.

Doug Isham, now with the Michigan Army National Guard, has served in Iraq and Afghanistan. His wife, parents, in-laws, and even restaurant owner John Panos were in on the surprise.

"I kinda had to step away because I felt the tears coming on. The sacrifice that they make...To not see your child for a year. I got two of my own. I can't even imagine," Panos tells WJRT.
