Could a Slinky Ride on an Escalator Indefinitely? [VIDEO]

Rod & Steph's conversation this morning about the Slinky reminded me of this video of the iconic toy taking a ride on an escalator.

I'm thinking the escalator would probably have a mechanical breakdown before the Slinky fails.

By the way, it also works on a treadmill!
