Semi Loses Control, Destroys Suburban Detroit Home [VIDEO]

A Macomb Township home was completely destroyed when the driver of a Semi truck carrying asphalt lost control and slammed into it.

The homeowner, Chuck Vanfleteren, wasn't home at the time but is completely befuddled by the damage.

"Absolute awe," he tells WDIV. "The humanity of it because one moment you have everything. I have nowhere to spend the night."

Vanfleteren bought the home a couple of years ago and had just finished remodeling it. Despite the tragedy, he seems to have a good sense of humor.

"Well I got insurance, and it looks like I got a good deal on insulation because it's all over the place," he said.
