Sam Champion of ‘Good Morning America’ Out and Engaged [VIDEO]

Sam Champion, the weather anchor of ABC's 'Good Morning America' has announced his engagement to fiancé Rubem Robierb. The announcement was made Friday by the New York Times.

This makes Champion the first co-host of a network morning TV show to reveal his homosexuality.

"We're getting married New Year's Eve in Miami," Champion told the Times.

"I never saw any of this coming in my life until i met the most - and I mean it - the most wonderful, giving, loving, caring,  giving person," Champion told the GMA crew at the end of Monday's broadcast.  "I am so so lucky to have someone like this in my life."
