You have an opportunity to help Genesee County families as the Salvation Army is planning a two-day matching event at local Kroger and Walmart stores.

When is the Salvation Army Match Event?

You'll find volunteers helping the Salvation Army man Big Red Kettles this Friday and Saturday (December 16 & 17) at Kroger stores and Walmart Stores throughout Genesee County.

Any donation you make will be matched as follows:

  • Donations made to the Salvation Army at Kroger stores will be matched by the Flint Independent Automobile Dealers Association.
  • Donations made to the Salvation Army at Walmart stores will be matched by the Jennings Memorial Foundation.

Donations will be matched up to $20,000 during the two-day Match Event, according to the Salvation Army.

Join Cars 108 for the Kickoff Event

Nathan Reed from the Cars 108 Wake-Up Show and I are honored to help the Genesee County Salvation kick off the Match Event in Grand Blanc this Friday (12/16). We'll be at the Kroger in the Grand Mall from 11 am to 1 pm. We hope you can take a few minutes out of your day and make a donation.

Funds raised through the Red Kettle campaign will help Genesee County families throughout 2023.

The Genesee County Salvation Army is currently at 33 percent of its Red Kettle Goal and hopes the Match Event will help them get much closer to their goal.

Remember, any donation you make this Friday or Saturday will be matched. We hope you'll be able to help the Salvation Army as they assist families in Genesee County.
