RIP: Michigan’s Tallest Man Passes Away at 48 [VIDEO]

Our condolences to the family, friends, and widow of Mike Lanier, who passed away at just 48 years old. Lanier was the tallest man in Michigan at 7 feet 7 inches tall, and along with his brother Jim, held the Guinness record for World's Tallest Twins.

Lanier, who just recently got married, told WDIV in 2015 that dating was especially challenging because it was hard to tell if women were interested in him or simply curious about his height.

Mike passed away from pancreatic cancer complicated by acromegaly, the hormone responsible for his abnormal growth.
