Babies R Us is Back, Opening Inside Seven Michigan Kohl’s Stores

After all but disappearing for about six years, Babies R Us is back. The chain announced that it has begun rolling out shops inside 200 Kohl's stores across the US, including seven in Michigan.

Toys R Us & Babies R Us in Michigan

Babies R Us began opening stores in 1996 when Toys R Us acquired Baby Superstore, Inc. The chain grew to about 260 stores throughout the United States.

In Flint, the chain's Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores on Linden Rd. closed their doors permanently in June of 2018.

200 New Babies R Us Shops Inside Kohl's Stores

Kohl's announced last week that current and expecting parents will be able to shop "a curated assortment of trusted baby brands, including thousands of new products" available in-store and online. According to the Detroit Free Press, 'Motherhood' is its new, exclusive in-store maternity brand.

Kohl's stores in 33 states will see Babies R Us shops by the end of 2024.

There are seven Koh'l locations throughout Michigan that will be getting Babies R Us shops.
