Poop Burgers: Scientists Using Human Waste to Make Meat [VIDEO]

You're probably expecting a prank video. No such luck. Japanese scientists have discovered a way to crate artificial meat from sewage containing human excrement.

The Marketing Department will have to work overtime to make this fly.

Ghana Nation's report gives details on the science of the process, and reports that the “meat” is 63% proteins, 25% carbohydrates, 3% lipids and 9% minerals. The researchers color the poop meat red with food coloring and enhance the flavor with soy protein. Initial tests have people saying it even tastes like beef.

Researchers claim the Poop Burgers contain less fat, and therefore fewer calories. Bon Appetit!
