Phone Doubles As A Giant, Huggable, Vibrating Pillow [VIDEO]

Rod told us about the sofa on wheels this morning. Let me introduce you to the pillow/phone/vibrating friend now on the market!

Named the Hugvie, it's a robot created by Hiroshi Ishiguro. He created the Hugvie to help people talking on the phone feel as if they are with the person on the other end. The life size, huggable pillow actually vibrates with the sound and volume of the speaker's voice. It looks a bit like Casper (the friendly ghost) and comes in different colors. It is available for purchase on a Japanese robot website for $50.

Is it just me, or is this creepy? Human beings should not be this easy to replace!
