Northbound 23 Reopened After Accident Shuts Down All Lanes

A serious accident closed all northbound lanes of US 23 in Mundy township this afternoon. Genesee County Police shut down the freeway at Grand Blanc Rd., exit number 88 after the accident which occurred at about 1:45 this afternoon.

At this time, the condition of the drivers involved in the accident is not available. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

Northbound US 23 remained shut down at Grand Blanc Rd. for over two hours. The freeway was reopened at approximately 4 pm.
