NFL Survey Says – Detroit Lions Fans Rank In Tailgating Top 10

The Detroit Lions football team may not always win, but that does not stop their fans from throwing some of the best tailgate parties in the NFL. According to a survey by Bookies, out of 32 NFL teams, Detroit Lions fans come in at number 7 in terms of fans tailgating the most. Now that is impressive.

I know quite a few people that tailgate in Detroit prior to Lions games. If you are a die-hard Detroit Lions fan, then I am guessing you know Mark Mullins AKA 'The Pilgrim' and Gary Campioni, AKA  'Macho Mane' and his crew 'The Blue Mane Group'. Both Mark and Gary have been featured on NFL Drafts, on various television networks, and on-camera numerous times during football games broadcasts. These guys are serious about the Detroit Lions and tailgating. So serious, that 'The Pilgrim' has a hot tub set up at his tailgating parties. Now that is impressive.

When it comes to food at Detroit Lions tailgate parties anything goes, and trust me, fans go all out. However, according to the Bookies survey, hot dogs are the food of choice for Lions fans when tailgating. The survey also revealed that the average Lions fan has three drinks during an average tailgate party. Is it just me, or does that seem low?
