Once it's out there, it's out there.  For good.

But there's an app for that!  Web security company Webroot, and ad agency TDA have collaborated to create http://www.socialmediasobrietytest.com which is supposed to prevent "Drunk Facebooking."  Think of it as a breathalyzer for your computer.

Essentially, it's a browser extension that blocks you from these tempting sharing areas until your mind knows what your body is doing and your body re-connects with the regular pace of its motions. Should you attempt to force entry onto your own, say, Facebook page, this fine test might ask you to recite the alphabet backwards or follow a finger on screen.

The application can prevent potentially embarrassing posts - posts that may land you in hot water with your significant other, friends, or even prospective employers.

Once the application is installed, you're required to pass a sobriety test before posting on Facebook, Twitter, or other social media sites.  If you fail, it suggests you go to bed, and sleep it off.
