Michigan State Univerity will pay out $500 million to sexual abuse victims who suffered at the hand of Larry Nassar. It's the largest payout ever in a sexual misconduct suit involving a university.

Of the $500 million settlement, $425 million will be paid to Nassar's 332 victims and $75 million will be held in a trust set aside for any future victims that come forward.

As a comparison, Penn State paid $109 million to Jerry Sandusky's 35 accusers, according to Sports Illustrated.

MSU Interim President John Engler says the costs will be covered by tuition income and state aid.
