State parks all across Michigan are hosting fall harvest festivals.

According to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, festivals will include hayrides, pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, costume contests, haunted trails, nature programs, and horse-drawn carriage rides. A couple of parks are even offering haunted lighthouse tours.

Family-friendly activities are scheduled to take place throughout September and October. Click here for a complete list.

Activities in Michigan state parks are typically limited to registered campers only. The DNR recommends calling 1-800-44PARKS for reservations and information.
