Mark and Lisa Treiber hope other parents don't have to go through what they have. The Treibers lost their son to heroin. Andy Treiber began using opioids when he was 17 and later switched to heroin. He died of an overdose at 27.
His parents addressed the crowd at Western High School in Auburn.
"So what we are trying to do is help people to understand that we need to talk about this... that we need to break the stigma," Lisa Treibers told the crowd of parents and students.
