Mid-Michigan Girl Starts Toy Drive For Local Children
Michaela Witgen, a nine-year-old girl from Saginaw is organizing a toy drive for other local children. She kicked off her Toys for Tots collection in October, and donations are still going strong. Michaela says her goal is to collect or purchase 100 toys for area children. She is raising money to buy some toys by collecting pop cans from her teachers and at church. She also has people send her their bottle return receipts so she can cash them in to purchase toys.
You can help Michaela reach her goal of 100 toys by dropping off a new toy this Friday (December 1st) at Peace School in Saginaw Township, or at Peach Lutheran Church in Saginaw this Sunday (December 3rd).
